Markéta Protivánková obtained her Magister Iuris at Charles University, Prague, Faculty of Law, in 1998 and her doctorate at the same university in 2002. She worked as an associate for the Prague office of Bruckhaus Westrick Heller Löber from 1998 to 2000. Marketa continued to practise law there from 2000 to 2002, when the firm formed part of the world-wide network of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Since the 2002 takeover of the Prague office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer by its former partners Josef Vejmelka and Petr Wünsch, she has worked for Vejmelka & Wünsch. Markéta is a member of the Czech Bar Association. She speaks Czech, English, German and Italian. Presently, she specializes in commercial law, M&A, real estate law and environmental law.
